India’s love for card games is timeless, with Rummy being a household favorite, especially during festivals like Diwali and Janmashtami. But what if you can bring in a T20 format of Rummy, that requires similar, if not more skills. And make play as fast paced and exciting like Teen Patti?
Welcome to Rummy 3 Patti (R3P) – a revolutionary card game that brings together the best of both worlds!
R3P is the flagship version of the Rummy Patti series, a game format that infuses the fast-paced excitement of Teen Patti with the strategic gameplay of Rummy. It’s a game of decision making, memory, wits, strategy, observation, adroitness and probability — a perfect choice for players who enjoy calculated risks and clever plays.
3 cards are dealt to each player face-down.
2 additional cards are placed – one face-up and the other face-down at the center of the table.
Players take turns to exchange their cards with the center cards, trying to build the best 3-card hand possible.
The round proceeds with Players competing with each other to form best hand, strategizing, raising stakes and trying to outsmart the other Players
The player with the strongest hand at the end of the game wins the round.
The placing of table cards at the center enabling exchange of cards introduces a layer of strategy, allowing players to improve their hands mid-game. This is where the Rummy influence shines through – you must observe and remember, make judgments based on the cards that are going around the table and form the best possible hand.
Considering that only about half the pack of cards or even lesser are available and in circulation during the game play, it takes high levels of skill to gage the probability of forming certain hands, knowing what hands to go for, when to raise stake or when to stop play.
While element of chance cannot be completely taken out of any card game due to shuffling and dealing of cards using random number generation methodology, R3P shifts the focus firmly on to the skill of the player to form better hands than they were dealt with at the start of play. It encourages smart play, observation of opponents’ moves and circulation of cards, calculated decision making and risk taking.
